Application Engineering Technical Lead

We invite you to join our elite SWAT team of experts, providing operational trade-floor support to traders and portfolio managers on the Vanguard equity desk. Our equity trade floor comprises highly professional and demanding clients in the industry. They utilize an array of world-class tools, requiring performant deterministic applications with accurate data and portfolio holdings that need to be ready on-time, every day. This desk handles the trading of equity stocks, ETFs, and a few derivatives, contributing to our active and passive funds exceeding $6 trillion, with quarterly trading activities around $160 billion. Within the Run Organization, we ensure software functionality, monitoring jobs and applications, and addressing trader and portfolio manager concerns. Since we follow-the-sun, you can expect to work in-person during standard Malvern hours while coordinating with different regions in the evening. Our team resolves over 50% of issues independently, gaining unique insights into high-volume trading processes in the industry.
