Requirements
Must:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or equivalent experience
- Practical experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell), HMI development, and SCADA systems
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygienic design is advantageous
- Additional experience with robotics, vision systems, or automated packaging lines is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee automation initiatives from inception to completion, including PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and system startups
- Ensure our automated systems operate safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and enhance systems such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and robotics
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize processes
- Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements
- Train and provide support to automation technicians
- Keep current with the latest automation advancements and technologies

At Valley Queen, located in Milbank, SD, we are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our innovative team.
