Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in IoT/OT security, industrial control systems, and network segmentation within highly regulated sectors.
- Preferred certifications including CISSP, CIoTSP, GICSP, or relevant vendor-specific qualifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure IoT Developer).
- Bachelors or masters degree in cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to convey technical insights through audit-ready documentation and narratives that highlight business impact.
- Deep understanding of ISA-95 Purdue Model, network segmentation (zoning), and industrial-grade firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with Armis and familiarity with tools like Nozomi Networks, Cisco Cyber Vision, or Dragos.
- Demonstrated expertise in NIST SP 800-82, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and NERC CIP.
- Knowledge of MFA, VPN, and jump-host configurations for third-party vendor maintenance in OT environments.
- Experience with implementing virtual patching via IPS and managing patches for sensitive, legacy industrial systems.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the technical rollout of Armis across the OT environment to ensure 100% visibility; configure dashboards to provide immediate value to the client.
- Carry out thorough security audits of IoT and OT devices utilizing passive network analysis and manual inspections. Benchmark the clients current security posture against frameworks like NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, and NIST CSF.
- Validate and sustain a comprehensive asset inventory, encompassing SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and various IoT devices (e.g., smart cameras, HVAC and building systems).
- Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities using a risk-based strategy that considers operational safety and production impact.
- Develop a multi-year OT security strategy and a prioritized remediation plan based on insights from Armis and any gap analysis conducted.
- Facilitate communication between IT and OT teams, conducting workshops with plant engineers and executives to align security objectives with business uptime and safety.
Description
We are looking for a Senior OT/IoT Security Consultant to lead an important security project for a prominent semiconductor manufacturer. In this role, you will oversee the full deployment and enhancement of Armis to gain immediate visibility into the environment, followed by a detailed assessment of the clients Operational Technology (OT) setup. We offer a contract position with competitive pay between $60.00 and $70.00 per hour, along with benefits such as 401(k) matching, dental and vision insurance. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while contributing to a vital security initiative.
