Desktop Support Specialist I

- I will require you to manage user incidents directed from the Service Desk or escalate issues when suitable, ensuring quality support and prompt responses. - Providing effective support to both on-site and remote users is essential. - You will load and install preconfigured images on PCs and diagnose any failures. - Deployment of desktops, laptops, monitors, and other equipment, along with software to end users, will be part of your role. - You will be responsible for replacing and upgrading user-replaceable parts, such as hard drives, memory, and graphics cards. - Troubleshooting basic network issues, activating ports, establishing VPN connections, and making basic configurations on switches are key tasks. - Addressing hardware and accessory issues related to desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and A/V equipment is expected. - Assisting with PC equipment relocation both within our main site and at off-site locations will be required. - Basic Active Directory administration, such as adding and removing objects, is necessary. - You will create static IP addresses for users and devices, while also providing support for domain and trust issues on the client side. - Manually entering badge information into the UniFLOW Printer Server for secure printing and basic copier support will be your responsibility. - Additional duties and projects may be assigned as needed.
