Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT setting with a focus on data analytics or business intelligence projects.
- Strong skills in SQL programming and familiarity with R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell scripting), and other scripting languages.
- Practical knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for developing interactive dashboards.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices for effective project execution.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.
- Experience handling large datasets with ETL tools like Talend or similar, along with knowledge of database design principles in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server settings.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets with advanced analytics techniques and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- An understanding of Linked Data concepts and their relevance within enterprise data ecosystems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, assess, and document business requirements for IT projects and data-related initiatives.
- Design and construct dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms to effectively convey insights.
- Oversee project workflows within Agile frameworks, ensuring timely delivery while upholding quality standards.
- Manage the complete SDLC process for data projects, encompassing planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.
- Develop and refine ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes with Talend or similar tools to guarantee precise data integration from various sources like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Linked Data repositories.
- Construct and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis; employ R and Python for advanced analytics and automation tasks.
- Collaborate with database administrators to design scalable database schemas and structures that support business intelligence requirements.
- Create detailed documentation using Visio or similar tools to represent system architecture, workflows, and process flows.
- Analyze business processes to identify areas for enhancement via technological solutions and translate these into technical specifications for development teams.
- Assist in the rollout of analytics solutions by conducting testing, troubleshooting issues, and offering user training as required.
