Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Business Administration, or Technical Writing
- Minimum of 5 years in producing technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials for DoD electronic systems
- Experience developing USMC publications, including writing/editing for C4ISR systems
- Familiarity with military and civilian style guide standards
- Ability to project timelines for documentation deliverables
- Knowledge of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) processes, National Stock Numbers (NSNs), and H6 naming conventions
- Proficient in derivative classification using classification guidelines
- Advanced skills in hardware and software technical writing
- Strong editing abilities
- Active Secret Security Clearance with potential to upgrade to TS/SCI.
Responsibilities
- Develop and edit technical documentation for various project systems and software as required by contracts
- Create clear and precise documentation for processes and procedures
- Research technical data to produce and refine documentation
- Document different types of materials, including user manuals, maintenance instructions, and training packages
- Collaborate with the technical writing team to plan and produce new and existing documents
- Edit and proofread documents to ensure quality and accuracy
- Create graphics and visual aids to support documentation needs
- Utilize style guides and military standards for document formatting
- Independently manage and maintain documentation for complex systems
- Adhere to deadlines with minimal management direction.
