Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience - 5+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying native mobile applications - Proven expertise in both native iOS development (Swift) and native Android development - Direct experience with mobile security features, including Secure Enclaves or comparable secure storage technologies - Knowledge of basic cryptography principles and their application in mobile security - Extensive experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and managing asynchronous data streams - Strong grasp of mobile UI/UX principles, architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI), and performance enhancement strategies - Experience with digital wallets, biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID), or related credential management systems is highly desirable - Familiarity with CI/CD processes for mobile application deployment (e.g., Fastlane, Jenkins, etc.) - Proficiency in TypeScript for building and maintaining scalable mobile applications

Responsibilities

- Lead the complete development, testing, and deployment process for high-quality native applications on iOS (Swift) and Android platforms - Ensure optimal application performance, diagnose issues, and maintain extensive compatibility across various devices and OS versions - Design and implement features centered around security and privacy, leveraging native mobile security frameworks - Employ robust data handling and storage techniques, including Secure Enclaves or equivalent technologies - Utilize foundational cryptography principles for safeguarding data and ensuring secure communication within the mobile framework - Integrate VIAs backend microservices and secure APIs into mobile application architecture - Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership in mobile application development, ensuring adherence to the highest standards - Communicate intricate software designs, architectural decisions, and technical processes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers and backend developers to ensure seamless and reliable application performance - Contribute to the definition and enforcement of mobile development best practices, participate in code reviews, and promote automated testing
