Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience; or 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree
- Must possess or acquire a relevant professional certification before starting, with ongoing certification mandatory for employment
- U.S. citizenship is essential
- Active Secret security clearance required, with the capability of obtaining final Top Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Execute advanced custom development and deployment of cybersecurity alerts
- Develop, configure, and fine-tune cyber security tools, alerts, and response mechanisms
- Integrate security alerts and workflow processes into SOAR and SIEM systems
- Automate and enhance security alert workflows to improve threat response efficiency throughout the Incident Response process
- Evaluate systems and environments to identify necessary logging and alerting for improved cyber security monitoring
- Provide technical proficiency in Splunk, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, and other programming languages
- Aid the security operations center through security development initiatives
- Support collaborative efforts across teams to bolster customer defenses against sophisticated cyber threats
- Implement cyber monitoring, analysis, and response capabilities within SIEM, SOAR, and detection systems
- Create and refine threat detection and advanced analytical capabilities
- Perform tuning of threat detections
- Onboard and integrate cyber monitoring tools from the analysts viewpoint
- Collaborate with engineers for platform building and maintenance
- Work with cyber threat specialists to apply the latest signatures
- Generate and manage various security dashboards, alerts, and analytical reports
- Draft Zeek (Bro), Suricata, and Snort signatures
- Sustain Python and JavaScript-based detection and automation functions within our tools
