Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; 7 years with a Masters degree, 4 years with a PhD. An equivalent of 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Current professional certification from the specified list (CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev) is necessary, or you must obtain one before starting. Continued certification is mandated as part of employment.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, tool integration, and system hardening.
- Skilled in system integration, testing, and enterprise deployment of cybersecurity tools and controls.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, particularly utilizing Terraform.
- Background in supporting and securing cloud environments, mainly in Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hybrid environments, and debugging across distributed systems.
- Understanding of NIST 800-53, RMF, and FISMA compliance frameworks.
- U.S. citizenship is essential.
- Active Secret security clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design, integration, and implementation of cybersecurity tools throughout enterprise environments.
- Conduct system builds, configurations, and security hardening for both new and existing technologies.
- Integrate cybersecurity tools (e.g., Tenable, Splunk, endpoint protection) into the current infrastructure and workflows.
- Create, test, and maintain Terraform code to automate the provisioning of secure infrastructure in both Azure and on-premises settings.
- Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and operations teams to guarantee a smooth transition of engineered solutions into operations and maintenance.
- Facilitate vulnerability management processes, encompassing scanning, reporting, and remediation integration.
- Engage in system integration testing, validation, and deployment to ensure secure configurations and compliance are met.
- Provide engineering support and documentation, including detailed architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, and technical procedural outlines.
- Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity technologies and suggest innovative solutions to enhance the enterprises security posture.
