Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in ITSM ITIL Configuration Management (CMS/CMDB) process lifecycles.
- Proficient in ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms, with a sound understanding of CMDB data models, class hierarchy, and the relationship of Configuration Items (CIs) to IT infrastructure and applications.
- Experienced with ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Service Mapping, Discovery, automated execution, and IT Asset Management (ITAM).
- Familiar with creating dashboards, reporting, trend analysis, and metrics evaluation.
- Background in large IT environments is preferred; prior experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification or higher is required.
Responsibilities
- Define, manage, and oversee the IT Configuration Management System (CMS), CMDB, and CSDM ITIL Configuration Management process in ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with best practices in service design, governance, strategy, and continual service improvement.
- Facilitate and manage daily work queues for updates, roadmaps, and ongoing projects within the Configuration Management domain.
- Lead medium-sized engagements for customers or partners from initiation to completion with minimal guidance, focused on new or existing processes, services, or solutions.
- Oversee Configuration Management development, manage upgrade activities, and review new IT services for compliance.
- Establish, document, and maintain a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) along with associated policies, processes, procedures, and standards, while facilitating audits and tracking compliance.
- Design dashboards and reports that deliver insights on process quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional for the role of ITSM Configuration Management II within our IT Service Management Office. This remote position is ideal for candidates within commuting distance of Richmond City, VA, although other states are also considered. You will be instrumental in governing and managing our ITIL Configuration Management processes within ServiceNow, driving the maturity of our IT Configuration Management efforts.
