Requirements
Must:
- A four-year degree in computer technology, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in hardware knowledge of Windows PCs, including installation, component replacement, and upgrades.
- Solid experience with installing, troubleshooting, and upgrading Microsoft Windows operating systems and associated software.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster effective working relationships across teams.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to manage complex technical challenges.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail with accurate data-entry capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for users by diagnosing and addressing issues with hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Support and maintain in-house computer systems, including desktops, laptops, and related devices, focusing on installation, repair, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
- Utilize our internal ticket tracking system to prioritize and manage workloads effectively.
- Respond to user requests through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Assist with onboarding new users by creating accounts in Active Directory and deploying necessary equipment such as laptops, desktops, and phones.
- Troubleshoot problems in a timely, precise, and customer-centric manner.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users as needed.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including printers, phones, computers, laptops, monitors, and other peripherals.
- Document and update IT processes, configurations, and procedures.
- Support ERP and shipping software as required (prior experience is a plus).
- Carry out other related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Description
This is a full-time position with anticipated working hours of 40 per week. The pay range for this role is $21.69 - $26.12 per hour. This position requires in-person attendance at our work location.
