Senior Data Architect - Azure, AWS

- Design comprehensive data architectures for batch, streaming, and real-time scenarios - Create scalable data models, lakehouse architectures, and metadata strategies aligned with business objectives - Architect ETL/ELT solutions using AWS Glue Jobs, Data Catalog, Studio, and Workflows - Utilize essential AWS services like S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Redshift, IAM, KMS, VPC, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail - Ensure compliance with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles related to security, cost, performance, and reliability - Build and enhance data pipelines in AWS with technologies like Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, Athena, and S3 - Implement DAG-based orchestration methods using Apache Airflow, MWAA, or Glue Workflows - Guarantee data quality, reliability, lineage, and traceability through all pipelines - Collaborate with machine learning teams to put models into production, including those developed in PyTorch - Architect solutions for feature stores, data preparation workflows, and training/inference pipelines - Optimize storage and computing solutions for large-scale machine learning training and batch inference - Define and uphold data governance policies, IAM roles, and encryption standards - Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and regulatory adherence (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) - Establish metadata, lineage, and cataloging strategies utilizing Glue Data Catalog and associated tools - Use AWS KMS, Secrets Manager, and Parameter Store for encryption and secret management - Set architectural standards and guide engineering teams on best practices within AWS data ecosystems - Mentor data engineers, analysts, and ML engineers on contemporary data platform design - Assess new technologies and promote scalable, cost-effective cloud solutions - Lead reviews focused on cost optimization and architectural integrity
