Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of development experience with SQL Server and its recent versions.
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse design, development, maintenance, and updates.
- Strong DBA skills in design, creation, upgrades, performance tuning, security, data replication, and backup.
- Ability to read and write complex T-SQL.
- Proficient in crafting and supporting SQL queries, views, or stored procedures to extract data efficiently according to industry best practices.
- Capacity to interpret and enhance existing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience in automating and improving existing reporting processes.
- Ability to generate new reports and conduct ad hoc queries.
- Skilled in data analysis functions, gathering requirements from stakeholders to define report content.
- Capability to recommend enhancements in reporting tools, methodologies, and workflows.
- Proficient in documenting processes thoroughly.
- Experience with bulk data updates as necessary.
- Knowledge in data integration, particularly in creating and maintaining ETL processes utilizing scripts and SSIS.
- Familiarity with calling REST APIs for data transfer.
- Flexible to undertake additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance SQL Server systems according to best practices.
- Design, build, and maintain Data Warehouse environments.
- Execute various DBA tasks such as performance tuning and security controls.
- Analyze and improve complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Create automated reports and optimize reporting processes.
- Support the development of new reports and run ad hoc queries as required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and specify report requirements.
- Propose improvements to reporting tools and techniques.
- Maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
- Conduct bulk updates of data when necessary.
- Manage ETL processes and integration tasks using SSIS and scripts.
- Call REST APIs to facilitate data transfers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
