Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field.
- Secret Clearance certification.
- 10 years of experience as an ISSO/Cybersecurity professional may substitute for a bachelors degree.
- Over 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity/Information Systems Security.
- Over 7 years of experience in security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis, and developing mitigation strategies for DoD information systems.
- Over 7 years of experience in authorizing or accrediting systems utilizing the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient record-keeping abilities.
- Valid drivers license.
- Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions on a remote island.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations, including after-hours calls.
- Highly motivated, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced security environment.
- Team-oriented self-starter with strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Innovative thinking abilities.
Responsibilities
- Proposing, coordinating, implementing, and reinforcing information system security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker with automated benchmarks.
- Implementing security configurations for operating systems and network devices in alignment with DISA-approved STIGs.
- Performing continuous monitoring of security controls, security audits, risk analysis, and formulating mitigation strategies for DoD information systems.
- Identifying technologies certified by the Common Criteria and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) along with the DISA Approved Products List (APL).
- Drafting certification letters and Memoranda of Agreement (MoA) with system owners for interface and networking implementations.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required to address the ongoing needs of the organization.
Description
We are looking for an Information Systems Security Analyst (ACL) to enhance our cybersecurity operations at Ascension Auxiliary Air Field (AAAF). This is a fully on-site role due to the classified systems we support. In this position, you will be tasked with implementing, enforcing, and continually improving cybersecurity policies and standards for Department of Defense (DoD) information systems. You will work closely with system owners and stakeholders to ensure secure implementations using approved tools. This is an unaccompanied role, and we provide housing on Ascension Island, reflecting our commitment to your comfort and security while you serve in this vital position.
