Requirements
Must:
- Masters or Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunication
- Strong knowledge of cellular communication technologies like LTE and 5G as well as vehicular communication technologies such as C-V2X
- Experience in wireless communications, especially for automotive applications
- Understanding of applications of vehicular communication for safety, traffic efficiency, and ADAS is a plus
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP protocols, MQTT) and analysis tools (Wireshark)
- Proficient in AI/ML and programming (Python, C/C++, ROS)
- Competence in debugging and troubleshooting in Linux-based hardware and software environments
Responsibilities
- Engage in the research and development of Direct/Networked V2X projects
- Design and implement vehicle-to-network communication architectures utilizing communication infrastructure and cloud/MEC platforms
- Integrate V2X communication methods for automotive safety and traffic efficiency applications (e.g., C-V2X, cellular connectivity)
- Create publications, invention disclosures, and patents, contributing to research reports and whitepapers
- Participate in field experiments using prototype vehicles
- Analyze network and vehicle connectivity with hardware (OBU, network analyzer) and software (Wireshark and other network measurement tools)
- Perform data analysis and visualization from communication devices and vehicle sensors to monitor, predict, and enhance network performance for connected vehicles
