Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Technical certifications and relevant experience may substitute for formal academic credentials.
- Preferred certifications include:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA) or similar
- Azure Network Engineer Associate
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Over nine years of experience in enterprise network administration, engineering, or architecture roles.
- At least two years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Experience with LAN/WAN architecture, specifically with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Experience in multi-site environments and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
- Familiarity with hybrid network environments (on-prem/cloud) and preferred experience with firewall platforms.
- Exposure to operational technologies, radio, or wireless technologies is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Lead architect in network infrastructure, focusing on architecture, design standards, and future planning.
- Develop scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions across various environments, including on-premises and cloud.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security teams, cloud architects, and external vendors to align business requirements with technical solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship to Network Administrators and contribute to policy and design standards development.
- Present recommendations to the IT Network Support Manager for approval.
- Act as the key resource for complex network design and troubleshooting scenarios.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and guide the agencys long-term network vision through strong communication and collaboration skills.
