Senior Network Engineer - Cisco, LAN/WAN

- Design and configure complex HPE Aruba switching environments including AOS-S and AOS-CX - Implement sophisticated switching protocols such as VSX, OSPF, BGP, and VLAN segmentation - Manage and plan network capacity to ensure scalable growth for future data demands - Execute upgrades on network hardware and implement effective firmware patching strategies to minimize downtime - Engineer and maintain high-density wireless networks using Aruba Access Points - Utilize Aruba Central for cloud management and troubleshoot using AI insights - Conduct RF site surveys and analyze heat maps to optimize signal coverage - Troubleshoot client connectivity challenges and resolve interference issues promptly - Architect and manage Next-Generation Firewall policies with Palo Alto networks - Utilize Panorama for centralized policy oversight and management of device groups and templates - Deploy threat prevention measures, configure URL filtering, and manage GlobalProtect VPNs - Administer centralized monitoring for Uninterruptible Power Supplies and oversee power infrastructure - Configure real-time alerting for power anomalies and ensure continuous power to critical network locations - Monitor network health 24/7 and utilize tools to address latency, jitter, and packet loss - Lead investigations into network outages and implement permanent solutions - Create network diagrams, maintain documentation for compliance, and prepare for audits - Mentor junior staff and provide escalation support for complex issues
