Requirements
Must:
- Preferred college degree in Computer Science or Technology
- Minimum of two relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CNE, CCIE)
- Over 4 years of experience in Network Engineering
- Experience as a Microsoft administrator
- Proficient in mobile device management across Windows, iOS, macOS, Chrome, and Android
- Advanced skills with Cisco and Barracuda technologies
- Familiarity with caching technology, RADIUS, and TACACS
- Knowledgeable in DNS and IP administration
- Expertise in LAN protocols including HSRP, Spanning Tree Protocol, and VLAN trunking
- Experience with TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of hardware and software systems
- Execute routine program operations within the Township
- Design, configure, document, and provide support for server and infrastructure technology
- Monitor network utilization and error statistics to ensure optimal performance
- Manage systems to maintain high availability and fault tolerance
- Develop and uphold documentation for current systems, applications, and network configurations
- Lead server operating system and software application installation and upgrades
- Configure maintenance for email, web, and filtering servers, along with associated software
- Keep accurate records of problems, solutions, and inventory related to technology systems
- Recommend upgrades and solutions to meet organizational needs
- Address security breaches and system breakdowns as directed by IT leadership
- Stay informed of best practices and advancements in network technologies
- Implement disaster recovery procedures and ensure data security
- Collaborate with various departments for technical support on networking initiatives
- Provide after-hours support for critical systems as needed
