Senior Software Engineer (Java, Fineos)

- Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing application features - Provide technical direction for EPIC feature delivery, ensuring quality attributes like performance, scalability, and fault tolerance - Design, code, configure, test, and document software in accordance with established standards and tools - Collaborate with architects and Principal Software Engineers on coding standards, tools, processes, and reference architecture - Deliver secure, scalable solutions that adhere to best practices while considering buy-vs-build and cloud-first strategies - Ensure the product backlog includes relevant technical stories and assist in prioritization - Mentor Software Engineers and Associate Engineers - Hold accountability for solution quality from design through production - Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders throughout feature delivery - Stay updated on third-party/cloud technologies and their implementations - Assess technical impacts and coordinate the rollout of new product releases - Engage in sizing, estimation, code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and retrospectives - Guarantee high-quality feature delivery through both manual and automated testing and CI practices - Support architectural alignment and contribute to proofs of concept and prototyping - Collaborate with Business Analysts, UX designers, Test Engineers, and Technical Support to ensure successful delivery and production readiness - Foster continuous improvement and innovation within the team - Potentially serve as Scrum Master when needed - Maintain ALM tools, communicating progress and obstacles effectively
