Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience with a proven track record as a BI Analyst II or in a similar data analytics role
- Strong proficiency in analytics programming languages such as SQL and Python
- Familiarity with modern BI tools, particularly Tableau
- Extensive knowledge of data profiling, statistical analysis, and data modeling concepts
- Skilled in extracting and leveraging data from data warehouses, transactional databases, object stores, and API-based environments
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Adaptability to change and ability to focus on positive, practical outcomes
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills with a talent for influencing leaders at various levels using data and logic
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing junior analysts
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and analytical methodologies
- Comfortable taking ownership of design and implementation of technical solutions
- Effective team player, able to collaborate well across different backgrounds and areas within the organization
Responsibilities
- Utilize business insights to identify needs and provide technical analytics solutions
- Conduct complex data profiling and analysis to evaluate optimal data sources
- Transform and translate data into actionable dashboards, reports, algorithms, or datasets that significantly impact business functions
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis and communicate findings to inform and influence leadership decisions, including senior leaders
- Collaborate with data engineers for data validation and testing processes
- Enhance knowledge of the insurance industry and the competitive landscape
- Build expertise in company data and stay updated on emerging trends in business intelligence
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to refine requirements and validate outputs to ensure they meet expectations
- Provide mentoring and developmental support to junior BI Analysts
