Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on an Agile team
- Strong analytical, logical, and detail-oriented problem-solving skills
- Passionate about business direction, customer experience, and delivering results
- Knowledgeable in Agile development methodologies
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and an effective communicator (both written and verbal)
- Proficient writing skills for documenting and conveying requirements
- Collaborative team player capable of engaging with diverse organizational partners
- Creative approach to solving problems
- IIBA certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the IT Delivery roadmap and ensure updates are accurately reflected in backlog tools for automated reporting
- Verify that identified product and adoption KPIs can be measured within delivery activities and are integrated early in the Agile process
- Understand client personas and apply insights to refine work items and ensure team alignment to customer needs
- Ensure the integrity and traceability of work items as they are decomposed and refined, identifying potential gaps such as descoping risks or the need for additional requirements
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and subject matter experts to articulate clear and concise user stories with precise acceptance criteria delivered timely
- Provide accurate and current information to assist the Product Owner in prioritizing tasks and making high-quality decisions
- Ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are well documented and accurately represented in the product backlog
- Confirm that backlog items meet the Definition of Ready/Done and comply with enterprise standards for quality and planning horizons
- Gather, analyze, and document data relevant to impacted processes
- Engage in and apply methodologies within the product area (e.g., Customer Journey Mapping, Agile, Program Execution Framework)
- Employ suitable techniques to elicit client needs (e.g., personas, story mapping) and select effective representations of requirements with full traceability
- Participate in Business Analyst forums and exchange best practices
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and market developments
- Ensure documentation, change controls, and transition activities are established for production deployments
- Partner with Product Owners to manage and refine the backlog
- Review acceptance criteria with engineers to ensure testability and facilitate effective automated test coverage
- Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and test engineers to ensure delivered features meet expectations set by the Product Owner
- Conduct process mapping and story decomposition to support appropriate planning granularity
- Work with the Agile team during planning and coordinate with the Scrum Master and Product Owner on sprint deliverables
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of assigned business processes and provide suggestions for improvement
- Gather requirements for user experiences, contribute to the information architecture, and partner with UXD to ensure an excellent user experience
- Assess native functionality from third-party/cloud solutions and identify configuration opportunities
- Assist in internal test execution, including documenting results, tracking defects, and troubleshooting issues
- Keep ALM tools up to date and communicate progress, plans, and challenges during daily stand-ups
