Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience - ServiceNow System Administrator and ITOM Implementation Specialist certifications (Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management) within six months if not currently held - ITIL Foundation certification within six months of starting - Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including: - At least six years of engineering experience with the ServiceNow platform, specifically three focused on ITOM or CMDB architecture - Proven expertise in Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB design, Event Management, and MID Server administration - Strong scripting capabilities in JavaScript and Flow Designer - Demonstrated integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs and external data sources

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage the CMDB data model, its relationships, and health dashboards - Lead the implementation of Discovery and Service Mapping, ensuring secure visibility of services to infrastructure - Develop and uphold Event Management integrations with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SCOM, and Azure Monitor - Oversee deployment, upgrades, and performance optimization of MID Server - Define CI class governance, reconciliation rules, and normalization strategies - Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams for asset and service data integration - Lead advanced ServiceNow enhancements and integrations across ITSM and ITOM suites - Create and review complex scripts, flows, and integrations utilizing REST/SOAP and JDBC - Ensure adherence to platform standards and governance while maintaining code quality and reusability - Conduct performance tuning, impact assessments, and prepare for upgrades - Contribute to inputs on platform roadmaps, risk assessments, and cost estimates - Support architectural reviews as necessary - Mentor Engineers I and Developers I/II in ITOM and CMDB practices - Facilitate design sessions across teams and promote operational automation and observability - Collaborate with ITIL process owners to ensure alignment between CMDB and workflows for Config, Change, Incident, and Problem - Represent ITOM in discussions around governance and architecture - Partner with ITIL process owners to ensure configuration aligns with processes - Drive the quality of the CMDB/data model and enable change automation with KPI reporting - Foster continuous improvement through metrics and retrospectives
