Requirements
Must:
- I seek a generalist with expertise in various technologies and technical challenges, particularly in services development, systems engineering, and distributed infrastructure.
- You should have a strong desire to collaborate with a driven team in a fast-paced setting that values sustainable development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6), React, Node.js, AngularJS, WebGL, Docker, and Python is essential.
- Experience in building distributed PaaS/SaaS applications is a must.
Responsibilities
- As a vital member of our platform development initiative, you will contribute to creating a next-generation computational modeling and simulation application tailored for K-12 education.
- You will participate in daily standup meetings, prioritize tasks to meet milestones, and ensure timely deployment of code to production.
- Work alongside your teammates to develop implementations based on high-level designs. Quickly prototype, assess, and refine to deliver high-quality software.
- Demonstrate initiative and curiosity in testing and maintaining cloud-based distributed services and shared platforms.
- Take charge of performance integration efforts, focusing on measuring and enhancing scalability and resilience.
Description
We are a small startup located in Lincoln, Nebraska, focusing on the development of modeling and simulation software for K-12 students. Our technology leverages the Cell Collective infrastructure, which is being revised to support learning at earlier educational levels. We are currently looking to recruit two software developers who will work collaboratively with our two product leads to modify the existing software, add or remove features, adjust styling, and create new functionalities. This position requires an on-site presence in Nebraska, as remote work is not an option at this time. We are offering a competitive salary of $90,000 with an immediate start date for this full-time role.
