Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting computers/devices
- At least 3 years of experience supporting operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux)
- Minimum 1 year of experience using and supporting application software (e.g., Office365, MS Office apps, Adobe Creative Cloud, web browsers, endpoint protection)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working within a case management system
- Experience troubleshooting classroom technologies (audio and projection systems)
- Familiarity with enterprise device management
- Availability for off-hours, evenings, and/or weekends as needed
- Ability to lift and transport technology equipment
- Potential for some travel
Preferred:
- Experience within higher education
- Relevant certifications in operating systems
Responsibilities
- Utilize the IT case management system to log and manage technical support tickets
- Analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Independently determine the best resolution method based on IT service procedures, whether in-person, remotely, or through escalation
- Provide technical assistance for technology-enabled learning spaces
- Offer support for print services and other campus-wide initiatives
- Install standardized software on university-owned computers and devices
- Deploy IT equipment following university policies
- Address security threats and clean infected or compromised devices
- Assist with university IT asset management in coordination with property control
- Execute movements of IT equipment related to office relocations
- Participate in testing new devices, software tools, and applications
- Support data-driven decision-making through accurate record-keeping
- Document work processes and issue resolutions for future reference
- Foster cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with other CITS teams and technicians in academic departments
- Engage in professional development opportunities
- Perform additional job-related duties and responsibilities as required
