Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Youth Development, Education, or related field
- Experience in program development and community outreach
- Strong skills in conflict resolution and management
- Familiarity with youth development principles and best practices
- Proficient in verbal and written communication

Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities of the 4-H Youth Development Program
- Ensure adherence to 4-H policies and procedures
- Provide training and resources for volunteers and community leaders
- Oversee the enrollment process for youth and volunteers
- Identify and support new program initiatives and outreach efforts
- Facilitate communication with community organizations and schools
- Resolve conflicts and report issues in compliance with 4-H policies
- Prepare and manage communications via various platforms
- Assist in financial reviews and compliance of 4-H budgets and programs
Description
We are looking for a Community Education Specialist to join our team at the University of California Cooperative Extension Office in Concord, CA. Our 4-H Youth Development Program (4-H YDP) is the largest youth organization in the U.S., dedicated to fostering positive youth development through collaborative efforts. This role is a limited-term appointment with a flexible hybrid work arrangement available to California residents. We offer a competitive pay scale ranging from $25.48 to $33.91 per hour. You will have the opportunity to work with dedicated professionals while impacting the youth in our community.
