Requirements
Must:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school is essential.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is required.
- Prior experience with reporting and analyzing clinical documentation for Joint Commission accreditation of stroke programs is highly preferred.
- Competence in using personal computers and Microsoft Office software is expected.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas is necessary.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and management of stroke data for University Hospital.
- Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with Joint Commission Stroke standards and maintain our designation as a Certified Stroke Center.
- Collaborate with hospital Stroke Medical Directors, the Stroke Coordinator, and Ancillary Program Leadership to enhance data collection practices.
- Formulate plans to address variances in stroke data and quality metrics.
