Requirements
Must:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Preferably experienced in reporting and analyzing clinical documentation for Joint Commission accreditation in stroke programs
- Proficient in using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Active registered nurse license from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of stroke data for University Hospital
- Collect, analyze, and report stroke data to ensure compliance with Joint Commission Stroke standards
- Collaborate with hospital Stroke Medical Directors, Stroke Coordinator, and Ancillary Program Leadership to enhance data collection
- Develop strategies to address any identified variances in data
- Maintain designation as a Certified Stroke Center through rigorous data management
