Requirements
Must:
We require a Bachelor's degree in computer science, data processing, mathematics, clinical studies, or a related field. Work experience may be considered in place of the college requirement. A minimum of six years of programming and system analysis experience is essential. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming language and possess knowledge of data management methodologies on one or more of the computing platforms utilized at University Health. Language proficiency may vary based on our current needs. Additionally, practical experience with the following applications is necessary: PeopleSoft, Lawson or any ERP system, IDX, Softmed, 3M, OnBase, Portal, Cerner Lab, Cerner Pharmacy, RIS, Eclipsys, Quavodex, MS Office, Crystal, HIM, TCP/IP, and FTP. Familiarity with databases such as Microsoft SQL, Sybase, and Oracle is also expected, as is competence with operating systems like Windows 2003, Windows Data Center, XP, UNIX, and Cache.
Responsibilities
My role involves providing computer technical expertise, project management, and technical guidance and direction for the implementation and operation of computer systems utilized for financial, clinical, and/or administrative purposes. I organize and schedule a variety of significant and/or complex computer system tasks, including programming, ensuring that I do so in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to departmental and University Health policies and procedures. It is crucial for me to maintain positive working relationships with my colleagues and other University Health staff. Additionally, I am expected to perform other duties as assigned or as outlined in performance evaluations and the University Health policies and procedures.
