Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in application development using Perl
- Strong expertise in MySQL, including schema design and query writing
- Hands-on experience with Git in a collaborative development setting
- Background in supporting and maintaining applications in production
- Solid grasp of software development best practices
- Extensive knowledge with PDF handling libraries in production (preferred)
- Familiarity with Perl PDF-related modules or tools like PDF::API2, pdftk, Ghostscript (preferred)
- Experience with legacy systems and modernizing codebases (preferred)
- Exposure to Linux environments (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain applications built in Perl
- Craft efficient and organized queries while managing data in MySQL
- Utilize Git for version control, participating in code reviews and collaborative development
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and enhance existing applications
- Engage in gathering requirements, technical design, and implementation phases
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and maintainability of applications in production
- Create documentation covering application functionality and development processes
