Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer or IT help desk service environment
- Required experience with loan or lending systems
- Background in banking, financial services, or operations, with experience supporting software applications and systems
- Strong technical skills in databases and reporting; familiarity with ITIL principles is preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis to troubleshoot complex operational and application issues, particularly with third-party business applications
- Support operational tasks across various business units within the organization
- Provide application support for a wide range of banking systems while upholding our commitment to high-quality member service
- Maintain thorough knowledge of various business processes and applications to assist staff effectively
- Help with level I (Service Desk) support during peak request volumes and manage escalated tickets
- Learn about new applications or operational processes targeted at specific business units
- Monitor, assess, document, and communicate any requested changes by the business units
- Serve as level II support for systems managed by the IT Application Management team
- Escalate incidents or problems to higher-level support or management as needed
- Research application/system parameters and develop procedures for maintenance and support
- Generate reports for management and staff efficiently from various database sources
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational and application issues
- Conduct quality assurance and control tasks related to operations and applications, documenting problems and recommending solutions
- Post updates, drivers, and FAQs on the UNFCU Knowledge/Solution database to aid in problem resolution
- Publish Operations and Service Alerts based on incidents or requests
- Provide support for Business Continuity Planning related to specific applications and business units
- Cross-train designated personnel for backup purposes
- Participate in training and development programs within the Credit Union
- Attend vendor conferences and report findings to the IT department and business units
- Adhere to UNFCU IT Service Management processes and policies
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, with possible 24/7 coverage during critical outages or upgrades
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations as well as the UNFCU Code of Ethics & Business Conduct
