Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience in delivering IT support or help desk services with a strong grasp of troubleshooting methods across both hardware and software platforms. - Familiarity with computer management tools such as Active Directory, SCCM, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and BMC Remedy ticketing system. - Understanding of computer networking principles including LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN configuration, firewall setup, and network security solutions like Meraki. - Proficiency in various operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server environments, Linux distributions, Windows 10/11 desktops, and macOS. - Capability to diagnose and address issues associated with computer hardware components and peripherals. - Exceptional communication skills combined with a customer-oriented approach to provide clear instructions and technical support. - Strong analytical skills to swiftly and effectively discern root causes of intricate technical issues. - Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Deliver timely and professional technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, or remote access, tackling hardware, software, and network-related issues. - Resolve software challenges regarding operating systems like Windows and macOS, including applications such as Microsoft Office and enterprise tools like ServiceNow and Jira. - Oversee computer hardware installations, upgrades, repairs, and inventory management to ensure all devices operate efficiently. - Address computer networking challenges related to LAN (Local Area Network), TCP/IP protocols, DNS configurations, VPN links, firewalls, and network security measures using technologies like Meraki and Cisco Firepower. - Aid in desktop support responsibilities, including user account management through Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), SCCM, and the BMC Remedy ticketing system. - Manage and troubleshoot IT infrastructure elements such as Windows Server environments, Linux systems, and network devices to maintain stability and security. - Educate users on best practices for operating systems (Windows and macOS), mobile devices, and remote access tools to boost productivity while protecting company data.
