Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related technical field, or equivalent experience - Senior Line Engineer I: 5-8 years of experience - Senior Line Engineer II: 8+ years of experience - Proficient in interpreting complex engineering and OEM documentation - Experience in detailed project management for regulatory modifications and system ownership - Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively, even in time-sensitive situations - Familiarity with airline or OEM operations - Understanding of CFRs, airworthiness standards, and aircraft design characteristics - Availability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays - Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship - Successful completion of interview process required for qualifications - Punctual and reliable attendance is essential

Responsibilities

- Provide 24/7 engineering technical assistance for United Airlines operational aircraft - Support various aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and operational engineering functions - Analyze and devise solutions for issues related to aircraft design, operation, maintenance, and repair - Establish maintenance programs, configuration standards, and serviceability criteria for safety compliance - Evaluate regulatory requirements and their impact on operations and fleet performance - Assess modifications or new equipment effects on reliability and performance - Conduct cost/benefit analysis for fleet decisions, ensuring optimal cost and reliability balance - Manage, author, design, and oversee engineering projects - Facilitate communication with customers regarding technical issues and investigations - Collaborate with other operational teams to maintain airworthiness and regulatory adherence - Organize and prioritize tasks to meet operational goals and project deadlines
