Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted. - Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance. - Profound knowledge of NIST frameworks (800-37, CSF). - Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and cutting-edge security architectures. - Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and enforcing security controls. - Background in incident response or SOC coordination. - Exceptional communication, documentation, and engagement skills with stakeholders. - Preferred certifications include: - CISSP - CISM - CISA - CRISC - GIAC certifications (GSEC, GCIH, GSTRT, etc.) - Cloud security certifications (AWS/Azure) - Project Management Professional (PMP) - Key competencies: - Ability to collaborate with various agencies and stakeholder groups. - Strong analytical skills and risk-averse decision-making. - Capacity to articulate complex security matters clearly. - High initiative, ownership, and professionalism. - Commitment to providing high-quality support to a mission-critical state client.

Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and sustain security policies, controls, and documentation in line with agency requirements. - Assist our clients and affiliated agencies with audits, compliance assessments, and remediation planning. - Facilitate the adoption of NIST-aligned risk management and security control frameworks. - Conduct or assist with enterprise risk evaluations, data classifications, and security control assessments for clients and supported agencies. - Identify security vulnerabilities and propose risk-based remediation strategies. - Support the creation of System Security Plans (SSPs), Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), and agency risk registries. - Provide advice on Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) and Incident Response Plan development. - Act as a resource for incident response, coordinating cybersecurity investigations, analysis, and documentation. - Collaborate with our clients Security Operations Center (SOC) during active cybersecurity events. - Deliver after-action reports, root cause analyses, and suggestions for improvement. - Assist clients in evaluating IT solutions, cloud services, and enterprise initiatives for security compliance. - Review designs, contracts, and procurements to ensure the integration of necessary security controls. - Offer recommendations aligned with Zero Trust, identity management best practices, encryption, logging, and network security principles. - Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives across the client and partner agencies. - Serve as one of Unisys primary security liaisons, engaging with client leadership. - Communicate risks, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Provide security counsel to project teams, application developers, and business units. - Contribute to the cybersecurity strategy for clients and statewide security initiatives. - Recommend modern tools, frameworks, and processes to fortify the clients security posture. - Participate in governance boards, working groups, and cross-agency cybersecurity committees. - Assist Unisys in delivering high-quality, contract-compliant services that support the clients mission.
