We are looking for expertise in automated API testing tools such as Postman/Newman, SoapUI/ReadyAPI, RestAssured, Karate DSL, and Cypress. Familiarity with API contract testing tools like Pact, Dredd, and Schemathesis is also required. Proficiency in testing various scenarios—positive, negative, and edge cases—is expected. You should be experienced with integrating API tests into CI/CD pipelines, specifically Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, and be skilled in JIRA for defect management and Confluence for QA documentation. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models and Azure integration services such as APIM, Service Bus, Event Grid, Blob Storage, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB is preferred. Responsibilities

In the role of MuleSoft QA Engineer, I would expect you to focus on Quality Assurance & Testing (80% of your time). You will be validating mUnit test suites to ensure high code coverage and compliance with enterprise quality standards for MuleSoft APIs, STL flows, and P2P integrations. You will review Functional Solution Documents (FSDs) to design and develop thorough manual and automated test cases for APIs and ETL processes. Writing and maintaining automated test scripts for end-to-end scenarios, API contract testing, and functional validation using tools such as Postman/Newman, SoapUI/ReadyAPI, RestAssured, Karate DSL, and Cypress will be part of your responsibilities. You will also work with contract testing frameworks like Pact, Dredd, and Schemathesis and conduct load and performance testing with Apache JMeter to evaluate the scalability of MuleSoft integrations. Security and penetration testing for protocols like SFTP, TLS mutual authentication, and OAuth 2.0-based APIs will be necessary, as will executing a range of testing scenarios to validate error handling and robustness. Integrating automated API test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous regression testing will be crucial. You will develop and maintain standardized QA frameworks and reusable testing utilities for MuleSoft projects, while logging and tracking defects in JIRA, including detailed reproduction steps and severity classification. We will need you to maintain test plans, test cases, and execution reports in Confluence for audit purposes and test Azure-integrated flows involving APIM-managed APIs, Service Bus/Event Grid messaging, Blob storage operations, Azure Functions triggers, and interactions with Azure SQL and Cosmos DB. In terms of collaboration and reporting (20% of your time), I would like you to partner with QA Leads, developers, and project managers to identify and mitigate risks early in the delivery cycle. Your participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies for providing quality status updates and highlighting key risks will be essential. You will use JIRA and Monday.com for task tracking, sprint planning, and coordinating defect resolution. Effective communication of testing outcomes to both technical and business stakeholders will help ensure alignment on release readiness.
