Requirements
Must:
- 6+ years of experience in IT support
- Proficient in Apple/macOS systems, particularly MacBooks
- Background in UniFi networking
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (including Gmail), Microsoft 365 / Office 365, and Microsoft Exchange
- Capable of supporting Zoom and other standard business applications
- Experience working with ISPs (e.g., CenturyLink, Comcast)
- Resourceful and proactive in troubleshooting
- Strong responsiveness and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Maintain user devices, including hardware and software setup
- Troubleshoot and resolve office network issues (both wired and wireless)
- Address and rectify technical problems related to hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Implement security best practices and manage password protocols
- Set up and oversee backup processes, including system checks and security measures
- Coordinate with service vendors (Microsoft 365, Zoom, ISPs, etc.) to maintain service standards
- Provide staff training whenever required
- Track hours worked, oversee IT expenditures, and submit invoices
- Be available for occasional onsite visits (approximately monthly or bi-monthly)
Description
We are a small training company based in Seattle, specializing in serving advertising and digital marketing agencies. We are currently seeking freelance IT support to join our team. This part-time position requires about 10–15 hours per month, with a flexible schedule. The role involves providing support for our Mac-based environment and proactively suggesting improvements to our infrastructure. While most support can be managed remotely, we do require someone based in Seattle for hands-on hardware issues, with occasional visits to our office.
