Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience working with IBM i Technologies such as CL, HMC, network configuration, Backup Recovery Media Services, data replication, high-availability/disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily functioning, monitoring, and performance optimization of IBM i environments, ensuring systems are secure, current, and in accordance with IT policies.
- Handle backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Collaborate with application and database teams on deployments and issue resolution.
- Strategize and implement system upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives.
- Keep precise and up-to-date documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Guide and provide support to the systems engineer team.
