Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in IT or a related discipline
- Over 7 years of experience in Database Management
- In-depth knowledge of Database Management Systems such as Apache Cassandra or DataStax
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Ansible, Python, or shell scripting
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of intricate databases, tables, indexes, and other database structures as well as Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices across platforms to meet our quality criteria
- Collaborate with application development teams to ensure peak query performance by monitoring databases and making design enhancements
- Provide direct database support, ensuring reliable backups, validated recovery procedures, and quick problem resolution for business continuity
