Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree; OR 4 years of related experience may substitute in lieu of degree
- 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
- Experience in technology application development and/or infrastructure and operational implementation
- Deep knowledge in at least one technology domain (application, infrastructure, operations, scalability, availability, performance, people, process, tooling)
- Proven ability to communicate complex technology decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels
- Proven skills in building high-trust relationships with frontline and mid-level management and stakeholders
- Understanding of technical architecture standards and policies, coupled with knowledge of regulations and risk management practices
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-channel digital experiences (web, mobile, IVR) for millions of members with billions of interactions monthly
- Modernize enterprise APIs and services utilizing REST, GraphQL, and cloud-native patterns on AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Develop real-time and event-driven architectures (Kafka, AppSync) to facilitate responsive, personalized experiences
- Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure accessibility, usability, and performance across digital channels
- Integrate analytics tools for data-driven insight and personalization
- Define API-first strategies, microservices architecture, and integration patterns for enterprise systems
- Establish engineering standards and testing practices to enhance reliability and speed of delivery
- Provide architectural guidance for AI/ML-driven personalization and decision-making frameworks
- Lead modernization initiatives for legacy systems, encouraging the use of cloud-native technologies and reactive programming
- Prototype experience management frameworks using Kubernetes, Snowflake, and vendor platforms
- Participate in governance forums to influence enterprise-wide technology decisions
- Mentor engineers and cultivate a culture of simplicity, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Drive collaboration across product, data science, and operations teams to align technology with business goals
- Represent engineering in strategic discussions and promote best practices and modernization strategies
- Ensure that business risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and managed according to compliance policies
