Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience can substitute for a degree
- 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including 2 years in a technical leadership position
- Experience in technology application development and/or operational implementation
- In-depth knowledge in at least one technology domain
- Proven ability to explain complex technical decisions to diverse audiences
- Skilled at developing high-trust relationships with management and stakeholders
- Understanding of technical architecture standards, principles, and relevant regulations
- Familiarity with security and risk management practices
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify strategy, requirements, risks, and controls
- Utilize expertise to make technology decisions and develop architectural artifacts
- Build productive relationships to influence cost transparency and execution of architectural solutions
- Assess applications collaboratively to identify strengths and weaknesses
- Advise business owners on proposed actions
- Define and document architecture standards for compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and manage waivers to architecture standards
- Support USAA’s technology ecosystem through reviews and troubleshooting
- Provide mentorship to new architects and engineers
- Maintain architecture documentation and ensure timely deliverables
- Cultivate external relationships with industry contacts and organizations
- Pursue professional development to enhance external stature
- Monitor risks associated with business activities in compliance with policies
