Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree; or a combination of 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- 10 years of IT experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership capacity
- Experience in technology application development, infrastructure, and operational implementation
- Extensive knowledge in at least one technology domain concerning applications, infrastructure, operations, scalability, availability, performance, people, processes, and tools
- Proven ability to convey complex technology decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with a knack for building trust with management and stakeholders
- Understanding of technical architecture standards, principles, and compliance regulations
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT partners to determine strategies, requirements, metrics, risks, and controls for functions or domains
- Leverage expertise to create informed technology decisions and relevant architectural artifacts, shaping evolutionary strategies and roadmaps
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders and engineering teams, guiding prioritization, cost transparency, and solution execution
- Evaluate domain applications with business and application owners to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and risks
- Provide recommendations to business owners regarding potential actions
- Develop and document architectural standards for technology domains to ensure compliance
- Utilize risk assessment methodologies for drafting and evaluating waivers to architectural standards
- Participate in activities supporting the technology ecosystem, including workstream planning and solution design reviews
- Offer mentorship to new architects, engineers, and colleagues in a supportive manner
- Establish and maintain architecture domain documentation while enhancing processes
- Cultivate external relationships with industry organizations, government entities, and vendors
- Pursue professional and industry certifications and contribute to publications to enhance external eminence
- Ensure compliance with risk management policies regarding identified business risks
