Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree; or 4 years of related experience may substitute in lieu of degree
- 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including 2 years in a technical leadership role
- Experience in application development, infrastructure, and operational implementation
- In-depth knowledge in at least one technology domain (application, infrastructure, operations, etc.)
- Proven ability to communicate complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong track record of building trust with management and stakeholders
- Understanding of technical architecture standards, principles, and relevant regulations
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align on strategy, requirements, measures, risks, and controls
- Utilize expertise to make informed technology decisions and develop architectural strategies and roadmaps
- Foster trusted relationships with stakeholders and provide leadership to influence project priorities and execution
- Evaluate domain applications to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks
- Advise business owners on potential courses of action
- Document architecture standards to ensure compliance for technology solutions
- Conduct risk assessments and manage architecture standard waivers
- Participate in USAA technology ecosystem activities such as workstream planning and solution design reviews
- Provide mentorship to new architects, engineers, and colleagues in a respectful manner
- Create and maintain architecture domain documentation and ensure timely deliverables
- Build external relationships with industry organizations and vendors related to technology domains
- Pursue professional certifications and establish external eminence through presentations and publications
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in line with compliance policies
