Staff Technical Architect - Messaging

- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand strategy, requirements, metrics, risks, and controls for a business function or IT domain. - Utilize expertise and research to inform technology decisions and create relevant architecture artifacts while proactively applying architectural thinking for evolutionary strategies and roadmaps. - Foster productive and trusted relationships with stakeholders and engineering teams, providing leadership and guidance to influence priority, cost transparency, and execution of architectural solutions. - Assess domain applications alongside business and application owners to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and risks, and advise on proposed actions. - Define and document architecture standards for technology domains to ensure compliance. - Employ risk assessment methodologies to evaluate and approve or reject waivers to architectural standards. - Participate in technology ecosystem activities, including planning, design reviews, code reviews, test case definition, and troubleshooting complex production issues. - Mentor new architects, engineers, and IT community colleagues in a respectful, flexible, and empathetic manner, seeking out mentoring opportunities to create team redundancy and backfill ability. - Maintain architecture domain documentation and ensure timely completion of deliverables while suggesting enhancements. - Build external relationships with industry organizations, governmental boards, and vendors related to a business function or technology domain. - Establish a plan to gain external eminence through professional and technical certifications, presenting at conferences, publishing papers, contributing to open source, or authoring patents. - Ensure that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled per risk and compliance policies and procedures.
