Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum requirement can be used in lieu of a degree OR Approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT (Veterans for IT) or eFIT (Employees for IT).
- 4 years of software development experience demonstrating substantial technical understanding within specific disciplines or technologies.
- 2 years of experience delivering technology solutions throughout all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle, including leading code and design reviews.
- Basic understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python.
- Developing level of discernment in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends.
- Experience addressing production issues through application and system troubleshooting.
- Experience articulating technical challenges and solutions.
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test intricate technical solutions.
- Investigate and resolve complex application and system technical issues through effective troubleshooting.
- Continuously enhance operations by conducting comprehensive systems analysis and recommending policy and procedure changes.
- Prepare and implement complex solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews and grasp essential system design principles.
- Mentor junior engineers and may begin mentoring fellow engineers; review colleagues code.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
