Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 6 years of software development experience demonstrating depth of technical knowledge in specific technologies
- 4 years of experience delivering technology solutions through all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python
- Proven ability to research technical issues and devise creative solutions
- Experience troubleshooting applications and systems for production issues
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and propose solutions
- Strong knowledge of security coding practices and foundational secure system principles
- Experience with cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test both tactical and strategic technical solutions across various technologies
- Collaborate with engineers or architects within and occasionally outside of the team to integrate existing systems and tools
- Lead code and design reviews while communicating updates to stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and planning
- Develop complex algorithms to address business requirements
- Investigate and resolve intricate application and system issues by directing end-to-end troubleshooting
- Mentor and coach engineers in design, development, and system maintenance, including reviewing their code
- Influence and contribute to the architectural decisions and quality standards of the domain
- Identify and address system performance issues, optimizing solutions to manage technical debt
- Ensure risks related to business activities are appropriately identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to compliance policies
