Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- 6 years of software development experience showcasing a deep technical understanding within specific disciplines/technologies.
- 4 years of experience in delivering technology solutions throughout all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews.
- Basic understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python.
- Proven experience in researching technical issues and creating innovative solutions.
- Proven ability to resolve production issues by troubleshooting applications and systems.
- Experience in articulating technical challenges and solutions.
- A solid understanding of security coding practices and secure system fundamentals.
- Proven experience working with cloud technologies and tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test complex tactical and strategic technical solutions across various technologies to integrate existing systems and tools, collaborating with fellow Engineers or Architects within and outside the team/department.
- Lead code/design reviews and communicate updates to stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning.
- Develop complex algorithms addressing business needs.
- Investigate and resolve complex application and system technical problems, directing troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions.
- Mentor and coach engineers on design, development, and maintenance of systems; review team members' code.
- Influence and help shape the future architecture and quality standards of the specific domain while understanding, identifying, and measuring across the entire solution.
- Identify system performance issues, including technical debt, and optimize solutions.
- Ensure that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
