Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree; or 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 6 years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis, or directly related to supported business operations/product line
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, applicable databases, and product management tools
- Advanced knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe)
- Experience in analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies
- Ability to independently gather business requirements, process flows, and use cases to develop and deliver business capabilities within approved methodologies, writing user stories, and managing user story acceptance
- 8 years of P&C Personal Lines experience (ideally Auto)
- 6 years of specialization in Personal Lines modernization using Guidewire Policy Center and/or Duckcreek
- Experience leading agile product development and transforming legacy systems to enhance customer experiences
- Extensive experience with Guidewire or Duckcreek Out of the Box (OOTB) Insurance Product, including Quote, Policy Processing, Rating, and Underwriting
- Certification as Guidewire Associate/Analyst
- Experience in military service or with a military spouse/domestic partner
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units and Subject Matter Experts to understand business strategies and visions
- Write, refine, accept, and prioritize user stories and features to support effective and compliant solutions
- Manage and maintain a prioritized work backlog for one or more Agile teams
- Ensure that user stories include acceptance criteria that are consumable and testable by the Agile teams
- Review outputs from IT and/or business development to confirm that acceptance criteria have been fulfilled
- Act as the business representative with delivery teams, advocating for the customers perspective throughout the product lifecycle
- Engage in a cross-functional team to develop, implement, and release solutions in line with program/product roadmaps
- Partner with sponsors and stakeholders to define and document business processes, understanding their needs, measures, and risks
- Prepare the business for change and provide strategies for benefits, adoption, and risk management
- Oversee development, testing, and controls while working with different technologies
- Seek opportunities to enhance and improve business processes
- Coach and mentor other Product Owners
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in compliance with policies
