Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree; OR 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree
- 6 years of experience in process enhancement, project delivery, business analysis, or related fields
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, databases, and product management tools
- In-depth knowledge of various software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe)
- Strong ability to analyze business requirements, process flows, and use cases
- Proficient with Process Engineering methodologies
- Capability to independently gather and document business requirements and develop business capabilities
- Experience in streamlining processes in compliance with risk management and regulatory standards
What sets you apart:
- 8 years of experience in Property & Casualty Personal Lines, particularly in Auto
- 6 years specializing in Personal Lines modernization using Guidewire Policy Center and/or Duckcreek
- 6 years leading Agile product development and modernizing legacy systems
- Extensive experience with Guidewire or Duckcreek Out of the Box (OOTB) Insurance Products
- 6 years as a business analyst or development product owner managing product backlog
- Experience leading modernization initiatives for a major Tier 1 insurance carrier
- Guidewire Associate/Analyst Certification
- U.S. military experience either as a service member or spouse/domestic partner
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and Subject Matter Experts to align with business strategy and vision
- Write, refine, accept, and prioritize user stories and features to support compliant solutions
- Manage and prioritize the work backlog for one or multiple Agile teams
- Ensure user stories are clear, complete, and testable by Agile teams
- Review and validate outputs from development teams against specified acceptance criteria
- Act as the business representative within one or more delivery teams
- Engage in cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and release projects aligning with road maps
- Partner with sponsors, stakeholders, and IT to define and document relevant business processes
- Prepare the business for changes and provide metrics for benefits, adoption, and risks
- Utilize existing change management routines as needed
- Oversee development, testing, and controls across various technologies
- Seek opportunities to enhance business processes and drive improvements
- Mentor and coach other Product Owners
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in compliance with policies
