Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree; OR 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 6 years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, or business/requirements analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases, and product management tools
- Proficiency in various technical software delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe
- Experience analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to streamline processes
- Advanced knowledge and application of Process Engineering methodologies
- Ability to gather business requirements and develop user stories independently
- Experience in leading agile product development and modernization efforts in the insurance sector
- Guidewire Associate/Analyst Certification is a plus
- US military experience or connection is preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and subject matter experts to grasp the strategic vision and write user stories
- Maintain a prioritized work backlog for one or more Agile teams
- Ensure user stories have clear acceptance criteria for effective testing and consumption by the Agile team
- Review outputs from IT and business development to confirm completion of acceptance criteria
- Act as the business representative within delivery teams, advocating for customer perspectives
- Engage with cross-functional teams including designers, analysts, and developers to deliver aligned solutions
- Document and refine relevant business processes in collaboration with stakeholders and IT
- Prepare the business for changes and establish metrics for benefits, adoption, and risk management
- Work with various technologies to oversee development, testing, and quality controls
- Coach and mentor other Product Owners for enhanced team performance
- Identify and manage risks related to business activities in line with compliance policies
