Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data Science, or a related discipline
- Alternatively, 4 years of relevant experience in statistics or quantitative analytics in lieu of a degree
- 8 years of experience in data and analytics or related fields; 6 years with an advanced STEM degree
- Minimum of 3 years in a team leadership or management role
- Proven experience in conducting cost-benefit analyses and implementing business intelligence solutions
- Proficiency in guiding teams in business intelligence solution development for large projects
- Advanced skills in facilitation, collaboration, and consensus building, especially in cross-functional environments
- Established subject matter expertise in business intelligence practices and problem-solving methodologies
- Experience mentoring and assisting teams in translating business requirements into actionable insights
- Expert understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management practices in data environments
- Skilled in developing business deliverables using business intelligence and data management platforms, including SQL-based tools
- Demonstrated thought leadership in creating business intelligence solutions that convey complex information clearly
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic execution plan for the team while aligning with organizational objectives
- Foster and maintain strong internal customer relationships through effective team execution and brand management
- Manage performance, develop talent, and plan careers for direct reports
- Oversee team delivery in terms of volume, quality, and overall business value
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and internal control standards
- Integrate industry trends and best practices into current processes and strategic plans
- Serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert to advise business partners on decision-support solutions
- Encourage innovation, prioritize work effectively, manage team capacity, and assist in resolving challenges
- Hold team members accountable for meeting objectives and establish development plans that align with business needs
- Collaborate with IT to enhance USAAs core information delivery capabilities and retire legacy systems
- Guide the organization on data governance and management standards
- Monitor and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with policies
