Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree; OR 4 years of related experience may replace the degree requirement
- At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership position
- Experience in technology application development and/or infrastructure and operational implementation
- Deep knowledge in at least one technology domain from an application, infrastructure, operations, or performance perspective
- Proven ability to explain complex technology decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication skills to build high-trust relationships with management and stakeholders
- Understanding of technical architecture standards, principles, and relevant regulations
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-channel digital experiences (web, mobile, IVR) for millions of members
- Modernize enterprise APIs and services utilizing REST, GraphQL, Golang, Spring Boot, along with cloud-native patterns on AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Execute real-time and event-driven architectures (Kafka, AppSync) for personalized user experiences
- Collaborate with product and design teams to maintain accessibility, usability, and performance across digital platforms
- Integrate analytics tools to provide data-driven insights and enhance personalization
- Develop API-first strategies, microservices architectures, and integration patterns for large-scale systems
- Establish engineering standards and practices to streamline development and ensure reliability
- Offer architectural guidance for AI/ML personalization and data-informed decision-making approaches
- Lead modernization initiatives for legacy systems, promoting cloud-native technologies and reactive programming
- Create prototypes for experience management frameworks utilizing Kubernetes and Snowflake
- Influence enterprise technology decisions through collaboration with governance boards and executives
- Mentor engineering teams and promote a culture of simplicity, reliability, and ongoing improvement
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, data science, and operations teams to align technology with business goals
- Represent the engineering department in strategic discussions, advocating for modernization strategies and best practices
- Identify, measure, and manage risks related to business activities in accordance with compliance policies
